Who we are
TRET (The Real Estate Thingy) is a sales CRM for real estate builders, developers and channel partners. It is made and run by NavTosh Tech LLP, trading as The Tech Thingy™ ("we", "us"), 3107, Riverview, Lodha Splendora, Kasarvadavali, Bhayandarpada, Thane, Maharashtra 400615, India.
This policy covers the TRET website, the web app and the TRET Android app. Questions about it go to sales@thetechthingy.com.
Two kinds of data, two roles
Account data is information about the people who use TRET: you, your team and your channel partners. We decide how it is used, so for this data we are the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Workspace data is what your business keeps in TRET about its own buyers and leads: names, phone numbers, requirements, visits, bookings and payments. Your business decides what goes in and why, so it is the Data Fiduciary, and we process that data only on its instructions, as its Data Processor. If you are a home buyer and want to know what a builder holds about you, contact that builder. We will help them answer you.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, work email, phone number, company, role in the team, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form).
- Workspace data you or your team add: leads and their contact details, budgets and requirements, notes, follow-ups, call outcomes, site visits, channel partners, bookings, payment schedules, units and unit photos.
- Lead-source data: when you connect a portal, ad account, website form, WhatsApp or a telephony provider, the enquiries they send to TRET.
- Billing details: billing name, GSTIN, state and address, your plan and seats, and invoices. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment ID and status, never your full card number, UPI PIN or bank password.
- Notification data: a push token for the Android app, a push subscription for your browser if you allow notifications, and your channel and reminder preferences.
- Technical data: IP address, browser or device type and server logs, used to keep the service secure and working.
Android app permissions
- Internet: to talk to TRET's servers.
- Notifications: to show lead, reminder and plan-of-the-day alerts. You can turn these off in Android settings or in TRET.
- Photos and camera: only when you choose to add a unit photo, through Android's own picker. TRET does not read your gallery otherwise.
- Calls: tapping Call opens your phone's dialer with the number filled in. TRET does not read your call log or contacts.
The app has no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To run TRET for you: showing, assigning and reminding you about your work.
- To send the notifications and emails you have chosen.
- To bill you and issue GST invoices.
- To answer support requests and set up your workspace when you ask us to.
- To keep TRET secure, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
- To improve the product, using aggregate usage, not the contents of your leads.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your workspace data for advertising or to train models for anyone else.
Where it is stored
TRET's servers, database and files are in India, in AWS Mumbai. Push notifications pass through Google's or your browser vendor's delivery network, which may be outside India, and carry only the short notification text.
Security
All traffic to TRET is encrypted with HTTPS. Stored files are encrypted at rest, passwords are hashed, and access inside a workspace is limited by role. Share links for units, bookings and channel partners use long random tokens and are kept out of search engines. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your workspace is active. If a trial or plan ends, the workspace becomes read-only and the data stays available so you can pick a plan or export it. When an account is deleted, we delete its workspace data within 30 days, and it leaves our backups as they expire. Invoices and billing records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Most of it you can edit yourself in TRET. For anything else, email sales@thetechthingy.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Delete your account
You can delete your account yourself, in the app or on the web:
- Android app: More, then Delete account.
- Web: open the menu under your name, then Account, then Delete.
You confirm with your password and by typing DELETE. What happens next depends on your role:
- Team members: your login is deleted straight away, and your name, email, phone, devices and settings are removed. Leads, visits and calls you worked on belong to your company and stay with it.
- Workspace owners: the whole workspace is deleted. It locks at once (nobody can sign in, and TRET stops sending anything), and after 30 days its leads, visits, bookings, units, photos, files and logins are deleted for good. Until then you can email us to undo it.
- Deleted data leaves our backups as they expire.
- Invoices and payment records are kept only as long as tax law requires.
- Team members can also ask their workspace owner or admin to deactivate them, which stops access straight away.
Can't sign in any more? Email sales@thetechthingy.com from the address you used with the subject "Delete my TRET account", and we will delete it for you after confirming by reply.
Children
TRET is a business tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date below and, for significant changes, tell account owners by email or in the app before the change applies.
